Set Up

PC Set Up Steps

  1. First, which operating system are you using? (If you don’t know, go to the Start Menu > Right Click on My Computer > Select Properties, A window will pop up that tells you what operating system you have (i.e. 64bit or 32bit). If it does not say, it is most likely a 32bit.
  2. To find out what driver to use, go to the copier, click Utility > User Settings > Printer Settings > Print Reports > Configuration Page. This will have the IP address for the copier.
  3. Go to kmbs.konicaminolta.us (for Konica Minolta machines) or usa.kyoceradocumentsolutions.com (for Kyocera machines).
  4. Click Downloads in upper right corner.
  5. Click on drop down menu in Category; select copier type (either B/W Multifunction Copier or Color Multifunction Copier).
  6. Select product. Select the copier needed (i.e. BizHub 600/750 or BizHub C451/C650).
  7. Select driver.
  8. Select operating system.
  9. Click on Windows drivers and select the driver that corresponds to the information that the copier has.
  10. Click Run once it has downloaded and unzip window, hit browse and select your desktop and then hit unzip.
  11. Once it is done being unzipped, go to Start > Control Panel > Printers and Fax > Add Printer > Add a Local Printer > Create a New Port down Arrow and select Standard TCP/IP Port > Select Next > Input IP Address > Install Printer screen will appear and click Have Disk > Click Browse and select Desktop > Find the folder that was unzipped and click on it > Once in the folder, click on inner folders until they get to the software and click any more (I.e.; driver, 32bit, PCL 5) and then go to the software.
  12. Once software is selected, Click Open > OK and Select the Model of Machine and hit Next.
  13. Print a Test Page.

Mac Set Up Steps

  1. First, which operating system are you using? Go to the Apple, hit About This Mac and it should say a number (i.e. 10.7, 10.8).
  2. Go to kmbs.konicaminolta.us (for Konica Minolta machines) or usa.kyoceradocumentsolutions.com (for Kyocera machines).
  3. Click Downloads in the upper right corner.
  4. Click on drop down menu in Category; select copier type (either B/W Multifunction Copier or Color Multifunction Copier).
  5. Select product, select the copier needed (i.e. BizHub 600/750 or BizHub C451/C650).
  6. Select driver.
  7. Select operating system.
  8. Click on Mac drivers and select the driver that corresponds to the information that the copier has.
  9. Download it and open it; then run the setup program of the driver. Just keep hitting “OK” or “I Agree” until its finished.
  10. Once it’s done, go to System Preference > Printer and Fax > Hit the + sign in the left corner > Select IP > Protocol Leave LPD > Type in IP Address > In the queue type “Port 1” > Under Print Using, instruct user to click on select driver to use and search bar type in IR to find the copier; Once selected hit ADD and print a test page.
    (If that does not work, you can print generically just by inputting the IP address and using the generic Mac Setting, but remember, it has limited functions and only prints from top drawer).
